Would I recommend the game? It’s free to play, might as well try it. Wouldn’t consider it a selling point for the game. For the most part you can reach the same point as swipers, you’ll just pay in more time spent. Realistically you can spend a lot and still barely progress with bad luck, just as you can progress quickly as a F2P player with some good luck. The game has a lot of RNG progression (ability stones, honing, bracelets, cards, etc.) which benefits swipers with deep pockets.

You can buy gold and sell skins.ĭoes it matter? Not really, unless you PvP. If you feel you don't have content you can grind the skill points or runes, purify and wealth are great behind the horizontal content i hate but is worth to claim those two.įirst and foremost understand this is a KMMO, so by design they’re all incredibly grindy (if you want to be efficient). So the supps will soon don't need gold and you will funnel all your gold to the dps you want to play and if you end uo being gatekeep you can find a guild or friends that go with your dps in exchange for you to go with your sup with then in other run. The only thing that can get you kicked as sup is being an asshole in chat, afking or wiping the raid tons of time but even then ppl tend to habe a lot more patience to the support than the dps

There is a shortage of supps so they don't have problem to find party even with low investment builds. I think the best plan to start from 0 is to have 1 dps and 2 supps and slowly turn the roster into a 3 dps 3 supps. I honestly would play it even with all the cons but the amount of info about all the systems can overwhelm you. Someone already downvoted LMAO the fragility of some ppl in this sub I swear So take the pros and cons listed and decide if you vibe with them or not and base your decision to 'smash or pass' on those. Also I do like some kind of to-do list to do each day because that gives me a reason to log in and play the game if I'm not feeling motivated. And I like the fact that the monsters aren't just reskinned versions of each other, like in some other mmos. The visuals are stunning, for a top down game.

You can enjoy something and justly critique it :]Īnd just to say a pro of this game, to pacify some Andy who's no doubt grabbing their pitchfork, the mechanics in the raids of this game are engaging, even if the boss fights themselves are stupid easy once you have everything down. I know this honest comment is going to make some hardcore fans very defensive and offended since they're so passionate, but frankly Idgaf because not everyone is going to agree to what the streamers and nolifers say about this game. Let's not forget the ever famous pheongate incident or the golden frog chest fiasco, which I sure OP would love hearing about. Now some ppl are going to read that and try to defend it, saying how the game gives you pheons for free, but if you honestly think it's enough to cover everything especially given the rng nature of rocks, amulets, and in the future, elixirs (assuming you're going for that carrot on a stick), for ALL 6 of your gold makers, you're kind of inhaling copium. If you hate the idea of buying something even if it's a one-time-use-forever deal, you're not going to enjoy the aspect of rock cutting, buying amulets on a new class, rolling bracelet stats, buying accessories, and in the future, buying elixirs for your armor. No, the monetization in this game is on another level because it's by a KR developer. So if you want a game that isn't just only end game raiding every week, you're better off with another mmo tbh.Īs for the monetization, someone said it was 'just like other mmos' and I have to chuckle at that naivity since I played other mmos. Pvp is there, but its basically forgotten about. LoA in comparison only has raiding to offer, and I guess collectables if you like to grind horizontal content. There's basically something for every type of player. In my other mmo, there's whole communities dedicated to various aspects of the game, like fashion, roleplaying, housing, trading, pvp (small scale ball groups to guild wide, both casual and hardcore), teaching newer players trials, carry servers, endgame raiding guilds, casual raiding guilds, semi casual raiding guilds, communities dedicated for trade skills, etc. It doesn't really have any other strong points besides combat and end game raiding. It's incredibly generic and stereotypical good vs evil, 2 dimensional characters everywhere, classic evil villains that you are supposed to defeat every week and move on to the next. It depends on what you're ultimately looking for in an mmo.
